Nevada "Lynn" Infante-Ware, Eugene Padan Elementary School's Classified of the Year
We proudly announce that Nevada "Lynn" Infante-Ware is our 2023-2024 Classified of the Year at Eugene Padan Elementary School.
She started at Padan as a paraprofessional in the TK class in 2014 until the program was moved to Fairmont. When a job became available, we were lucky enough to get Lynn back in the capacity of Intervention paraprofessional. When staff were asked how they would describe Lynn, the following words came up: organized, punctual, calm, caring, consistent, and dedicated.
In her work as an Intervention Paraprofessional, Lynn has the opportunity to work with students in every grade level who are struggling readers. Lynn puts a positive and fun spin on her lessons to entice even the most reluctant readers. She has developed routines and procedures that make students excited to go to their reading intervention groups daily.
Lynn greets everyone on campus with a smile and is willing to complete any job (even if it isn't within her responsibilities). She is the ultimate team player.
One of the things I admire most about Lynn is her passion for supporting students in their learning. She has many rich skills in supporting students' needs, especially those not on grade level. The students in her small reading groups are making incredible gains because of her dedication to identifying their needs and her teaching experience!
Some of the staff members at Padan note:
"Lynn goes above and beyond her duties. She is at work an hour or more before she needs to be and is often on campus after 4:00. Lynn takes on extra duties with and without pay, all without complaining. She is very well organized, and plans creative reading lesson plans. She is an exceptional para as well as a self-starter."
"She is always willing to step in and help out. Most importantly, with a positive and can-do attitude."
