Eugene Padan Elementary School proudly honors Sarah Wydler as its Teacher of the Year.

Last year, her first year at Padan, she was part of the second-grade team and quickly made a great impression on all who crossed her path. This year, she has entered a new role as our RTI/Learning Support Coordinator. Although it is a new role, she has embraced it fully and taken on several leadership positions.

Sarah is a team player. When she sees a need, she jumps to help. She facilitates Saturday Schools and fills in as a second Teacher in Charge when needed.

Her colleagues have this to say about her. “Sarah may be relatively new to Padan, but she has integrated as if she has been here much longer. She has jumped right into the intervention coordinator role with enthusiasm and knowledge that inspires the rest of the team. She has a fun and cheerful personality that adds to our campus culture. She is definitely the Teacher of the Year, in my opinion.”

Her calm and friendly demeanor creates a welcoming and warm environment where students and their families feel safe and nurtured. In the classroom, Sarah is truly magical. Her classroom not only looks incredible, but it also feels that way too. Every time you enter her room, positive energy and productive learning fills the space. Sarah has a gift for supporting every student who comes her way. She is perfectly suited for the role of RTI Coordinator because she has a keen eye for struggling students and knows how to help them. She also supports students with specific behavioral needs and can connect with those who may require a safe space.

“Her goal is always the children. She is constantly researching new innovative ideas to find the strength in the kids and her team,” said another co-worker.

“We are super lucky to have her,” another colleague exclaimed. “I expect we will see great growth in our student success because of her knowledge, drive and commitment!”
