Cicely Rodda Portrait

Hello!

My name is Cicely Rodda and I am thrilled to be the Principal at Eugene Padan Elementary for seven years now. Prior to that I was the Assistant Principal for three years. I am a proud product of the Vacaville Unified School District. I attended K-12 here in Vacaville. I also have three children who attend school in Vacaville Unified. I truly believe this is a great place to raise children.

Padan is only school in the Vacaville Unified School District to be A Leader in Me School. Our students and staff are well versed in the 7 Habits and it exudes in our leadership at our site. We encourage you to visit and see how this has positively impacted our school culture and community. In April of 2019 we earned the distinct designation of being a Leader In Me Lighthouse School. We are the only school in Northern California to have this title.

Padan has the continued opportunity to be a part of a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports). PBIS is a proactive, systematic approach to teaching students expected/acceptable behavior for school. This system is currently being used in hundreds of schools across the state and the country, with great results. I am excited to work with a team of teachers, staff and parents to continue to build Padan to be the best it can be.

Padan is a great place to be. We are glad you are here with us and look forward to working with you. We are all part of a team in educating your child. My door is always open to talk should you have any concerns. You can also call me at 707-453-6235 ext 102. Please email me at: [email protected]

Candice Portrait

Hello Padan Panther Family,

My name is Candice Bersola-Vallejos and it is with great excitement, gratitude, and honor to have the privilege of serving our Padan Panther Family as the Assistant Principal for the 2023-2024 school year. In teamwork with our amazing principal, Mrs. Rodda, I look forward to creating and maintaining a dynamic school year where all of our panthers exhibit the 7 habits of our school:

  1. Be Proactive
  2. Begin with the End in Mind
  3. Put First Things First
  4. Think Win-Win
  5. Seek First to Understand
  6. Synergize
  7. Sharpen the Saw

As a leader, I will strive in every decision that I make and every action that I take, to use these 7 habits as a guiding principle for our children. I believe that every Padan Panther who utilizes and practices these 7 habits daily will achieve college and/or careers in their future. I also believe that every child should strive for balance, a balance between a love for academics as well as passions outside of school.

So, in conjunction with leading our school, you may also find me singing, dancing, playing an instrument, playing soccer, basketball, softball, and swimming, and even coaching local sports teams! These are my passions outside of school, and when I am not at school, then you just might find me cheering on all of our Bay Area Teams: Go Warriors! Go Giants! Go 49ers! Most of all, my favorite team colors that I will represent this year will be the black and red, GO PADAN PANTHERS!

I look forward to our journey together and in watching each of our Padan Panthers grow into future leaders. My door is always open, and I am excited to welcome each of you to our Padan Panther Family! It is truly an extraordinary family to be a part of!
