Way Cool Science Scavenger Hunt - A directed web search in which students visit different science related sites (some scientific and some silly) and answer questions about scary things and strange occurrences. There are five questions to answer or tasks to perform at each site. This is a good model to use for "directed surfing" for your students. The 10 sites visited are The Hall of UFO Mysteries, The Nine Planets, Bat Cave, Volcano World, the Field Museum, Sea World Animal Bytes, Sharks 1 & 2, How to Tell If Your Heads About to Explode, The Infamous Exploding Whale, and Snake Pictures.
